Q & A
1a. Are your meals/products registered with the department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries? Yes
1b. Does each product carry a V number and could you supply it if a customer asks?
Yes, it is on our product label as well as all marketing material
Farmstyle - REG No: V28873
Farmstyle Select - REG No: V28872
Country Style Select - REG NO: V28871
Barnyard - REG NO: V28874
2a. Are your meals complete & balanced or complimentary?
Yes, all 4 varieties is complete and balanced and can be fed on its own as a complete meal with all the nutritional elements needed.
2b. What does it mean when you say something is a complementary meal as opposed to complete & balanced?
Our opinion with regards to complementary meals is a meal that has not got complete balanced ingredients to stand alone as a meal. It lacks certain nutritional components but can supplement your dog’s diet, for example when you want to add a bit of protein variety or your dog requires additional dietary components for whatever reason.

Part Two
Q & A
We asked the same questions to each raw food manufacturer. Questions we feel every customer should ask and to which they deserve answers.
1a. Are your meal/products registered with the department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries?
Yes, our meals are registered.
1b. Does each product carry a V-number and could you supply it if a customer asks?
Yes, each meal’s V-number is printed on the product label as stipulated by the department.
2a. Are your meals complete & balanced or complementary? Complementary.
2b. What does it mean when you say something is a complementary meal as opposed to complete & balanced?
We question the minimum daily requirements set by the Department, both in terms of how this is derived at and in terms of the supplements prescribed to attain the required levels.
We deliberately opted for ‘complementary’ status as we would rather add seasonal veg/fruit (e.g. blackberries) providing nutrients in natural format, than inorganic mineral components such as lime to reach a prescribed level of calcium for example.

Introduction from Raw Love for your Pets
If we follow a reasonably healthy and varied diet, we know over time we provide our bodies with the required nutrients to achieve optimum health. We don’t get all the nutrients our bodies need when we eat, for example, a tuna salad for lunch. But we (hopefully) consider the nutritional value of the food we eat as we nourish ourselves over time.
The same applies to our pets.

Understanding the Pet Food Industry & who regulates it
Before we continue it is important to understand who regulates the main stream pet food industry.
