Much of the work we do at Beagle in Mind doesn’t happen in public view. It happens in phone calls with adopters who feel overwhelmed.
In WhatsApp messages late at night.
In training sessions, behavioural assessments, and follow-ups.
And in foster care — holding dogs who need space, time, and steady support before they can move forward.
Alongside this visible care is the quieter, practical work that keeps everything running — administration, coordination, communication, social media, cleaning, water, supplies, and the day-to-day costs of caring for dogs in our space.
We offer this support as part of our ongoing commitment to BRAG, rescue organisations, and adopters — because accessible guidance makes better outcomes possible for dogs and the people who love them.
As the number of dogs needing help grows, so does the time, space, and practical support required to hold them.
This monthly campaign is a gentle way for our community to help carry a little of that load.

​Your contribution helps us continue offering:
  • 🐶 Foster care — space, daily care, and support for dogs in transition
  • 🐾 Training & behavioural support — helping dogs settle and succeed
  • ☎️ Phone & message support — ongoing guidance for adopters and rescues
  • 📋 Assessments & follow-ups — ensuring placements are supported, not rushed
  • 🤍 Practical support — from comfort items to hands-on help when needed
These needs change from month to month, depending on how many dogs we’re supporting at the time.

​How “Spare a Minute” works

Instead of large once-off donations, we invite you to support small units of time and care.
You can choose to contribute toward things like (average):
  • 1–30 days of foster care (per dog)
  • 5 days of training support
  • 20 hours of phone support
  • 100 WhatsApp messages
  • 15 emails
  • Comfort items (beds, blankets, toys, treats)
  • Helper support when extra hands are needed
From as little as R10, every contribution helps cover a minute, an hour, or a day of real work and admin happening behind the scenes.
These will be adjusted monthly based on the monthly time and costs for each month.

Rescue doesn’t end when a dog is saved.
